Bainbridge Island residents can bring their hazardous household chemicals to a one-day collection event being held at the city of Bainbridge Island’s Operations Maintenance Facility from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.

Organizers said latex paint will not be accepted at this event, nor will items that already have local recycling options, such as used motor oil, fluorescent lamps and batteries.

The collection event is limited to household waste; business or other non-household waste will not be accepted.

The city’s maintenance facility is located at 7305 NE Hidden Cove Road.
