Kids Discovery Museum presents “Growing up Safe and Prepared in Our Town” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.

Bring your whole family to try out new features in Our Town exhibit hall. Now, visitors will have an opportunity to practice preparing for unexpected events in their neighborhood. They will be able to use imaginative play and components such as dress-up costumes, books and puzzles in Our Town to learn about safety rules in a familiar environment through fun hands-on activities.

At 2 p.m., very special museum docents from Bainbridge Island Fire Department and Bainbridge Island Police Department will test the new features with visitors, and talk about safety in our community.

The new exhibit components complement the monthly program series, designed to make young visitors familiar with important safety and emergency preparedness issues and how to tackle them with less fear.

The program is free with admission or membership.
