The pumps at Bainbridge Island’s most prominent gas station, the Chevron on High School Road (406 High School Road NE), were empty Wednesday morning, and commerce inside was strictly cash-only, after a small electrical fire reportedly damaged the store’s breaker and computer system.

No injuries were reported.

Store officials were directing customers to the nearby Fletcher Bay Mart (8800 Fletcher Bay Road NE) for gasoline, the only other source on the island.

There was no estimate as to when the situation would be resolved, and, as of 8 a.m. an electrician was reportedly enroute to the store.
