Expert talks on heritage trees at next Bainbridge Island Garden Club meeting

The Bainbridge Island Garden Club will hold its next monthly meeting and program at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at the First Baptist Church (Highway 305 and Madison Avenue).

The Bainbridge Island Garden Club will hold its next monthly meeting and program at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10 at the First Baptist Church (Highway 305 and Madison Avenue).

The program starts at 11:30 a.m. and features a presentation on heritage trees by Jim Trainer of Treez, Inc.

Trainer is a nationally known community forester, certified arborist, and champion tree hunter who has located and registered four trees in Washington state in the National Tree Register. He has distributed and planted over 1 million trees in his 30-year career. He also authored a book called “Kitsap Trees” which is about the top 12 trees in Kitsap County. Everyone is welcome.
