The Kiwanis Club of Bainbridge Island is seeking nominations for the 2015 Bainbridge Island Citizen of the Year.

Candidates should be Bainbridge residents, a major contributor who has given much of themselves and their time to the island community and not a member of Kiwanis.

One of the nominees will be selected to receive the 2015 award by the Kiwanis board of directors, and the recipient and spouse will be the honored guests at the annual installation dinner on Sunday, Oct. 11 at St. Barnabas Church. The winner will also be honored in next year’s Fourth of July parade.

Applications are being sent to service organizations, religious institutions and other charitable groups.

Anyone can submit a nomination, however. Information and additional forms can be obtained from John Jay at 206-842-7592, jmjay@comcast.net, or Kathy Hendrickson at 206-842-6167.

Completed nominations must be received by Aug. 31.
