COVID vaccine clinic fills up in 45 minutes

It only took 45 minutes for the COVID-19 vaccination clinic announced Monday morning to fill up.

Registration was open for vaccination appointments Feb. 11-13 at the Senior Community Center, 370 Brien Drive in Bainbridge Island.

Registration information is posted at covidbi.timetap.com

With snow in the forecast later this week clinics could be canceled due to inclement weather or poor road conditions.

Those eligible for vaccines are 65 and older, 50 or older living in a multigenerational household, health care workers, emergency responders and people who live or work in long-term care facilities.

Go to FindYourPhaseWA.org to confirm your eligibility.

Patients must book appointments in advance and bring documentation of their eligibility. Walk-ins are not accepted. Please don’t show up without confirmation.

First doses of Moderna will be given. The Bainbridge Island Community Pharmacy, in partnership with the city of Bainbridge Island, Bainbridge Island Fire Department and Bainbridge Prepares, will hold the vaccine clinic.

Call the Senior Center at 206-842-1616 or Island Volunteer Caregivers at 206-842-4441 if you need help making an appointment.

There are not enough vaccines to help everyone. If you do not get an appointment continue to monitor the city vaccine webpage at bainbridgewa.gov/COVIDvaccine and the Kitsap County vaccine webpage at kcowa.us/vaccine.
