Bainbridge parks officials will meet next week to consider a ban on clam digging at Fay Bainbridge Park.

The board of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will consider putting a moratorium in place to prohibit clam digging at the popular destination while park staff researches protection of tidelands.

Board members will also consider an agreement with the Bainbridge Community Foundation on unspent funding from the Waypoint park project.

The board meets at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at Strawberry Hill Center, 7666 NE High School Road.
