City council to host ward meetings in May

Members of the Bainbridge Island City Council will host ward meetings across the island during the first week of May.

The public is invited to join council members for a community conversation around the issues that are important to island residents. City officials said the annual ward meetings are an excellent opportunity for islanders to engage with the council members who represent their ward.

All ward meetings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 4.

City officials said the purpose of the ward meetings is to give islanders an opportunity to engage in open dialogue with their elected officials. All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Central Ward meeting with Councilman Michael Scott and Councilman Wayne Roth will be held in council chambers at city hall.

The North Ward meeting with Mayor Anne Blair and Councilman Val Tollefson will be held at Fire Station 23 on Phelps Road.

The South Ward meeting with Deputy Mayor Roger Townsend, Councilwoman Sarah Blossom and Councilman Steve Bonkowski will be held at the Marketplace at Pleasant Beach.
