Air Force Airman 1st Class Katherine A. Burke graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Burke completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Burke also earned distinction as an honor graduate.

The airman is a 2007 graduate of Bainbridge High School. She is the daughter of Margaret and Larry Burke of Bainbridge Island.
