Bainbridge parks officials will meet this week to talk about the 2016 budget.

The board of commissioners for the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 at Strawberry Hill Center.

The meeting starts with a 30-minute, closed-door executive session where park officials will talk about real estate issues.

The board will reconvene at 6:30 p.m. in open session for the regular board meeting, and park commissioners will review a memorandum of understanding between the park district and the Bainbridge Island Land Trust.

At 7 p.m., a work session will start on the 2016 budget.
