Alexander Barker of Bainbridge Island has graduated as a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 2016.

Barker was awarded a bachelor of arts degree with a major in Asian studies and a minor in German.

During Bowdoin College’s 211th Commencement ceremony, held May 28, bachelor of arts degrees were awarded to the Class of 2016, comprising approximately 460 students from 39 states, the District of Columbia, and 15 other countries and territories.

Founded in 1794, Bowdoin College is located in Brunswick, Maine.
