A Bainbridge Island woman has been charged with a felony count of possession of methamphetamine after police found suspected drugs in a home where she was living in Poulsbo.

Hillarie Marie Wood, 27, was charged in Kitsap County District Court Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance.

According to a certificate of probable cause that was filed in the court case, a detective working with the Bremerton Police Special Operations Group served a search warrant at Wood’s residence on Ninth Avenue in Poulsbo the morning of Monday, Dec. 16.

After noting that “nobody answered the door in a timely fashion,” the detective said he used a ram to open the locked door of the home.

The officer said he searched Wood’s bedroom and found one gram of heroin, less than one gram of methamphetamine, a small portion of liquid heroin, a large amount of drug paraphernalia, and paperwork in Wood’s name.

Wood was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and heroin. She has been booked into Kitsap County Jail and bail was set at $10,000.
