Bainbridge parks officials will meet next week to get an update on the bond funding for the Sakai property.

Voters approved the purchase of the Sakai property earlier this year, and the district is planning to create a central island park on the acreage next to Madison Avenue.

Also on the agenda is a possible re-routing of the easement across the Madison Avenue Tot Lot, and an interlocal agreement with the city on Pritchard Park.

The board of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will meet Thursday, June 18 at Strawberry Hill Center at 7666 NE High School Road.

The meeting starts with a closed-door executive session on real estate matters at 6 p.m. The public portion of the meeting gets underway at 7 p.m.
