Jack Rusher and Samuel Bloom from Eagle Harbor High School have been selected to attend a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Seminar (RYLA) at Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma on March 10-13.

RYLA is a seminar geared to helping young people carry forward an exciting program of self-discovery. The conference will consist of nationally renowned speakers who emphasize leadership, motivation and communication skills, as well as recreation and fellowship.

This marks the 47th year of RYLA in Western Washington, sponsored and organized by Rotarians. More than 4,500 students have had the opportunity to participate in the rewarding four-day leadership conference, and this year there will be approximately 120 students from Vancouver Island and Puget Sound attending.

The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island is proud to sponsor these two students and noted it should be a weekend to remember for all students attending. The seminar helps students discover their potential and develop the skills needed to be a leader in their community, career and everyday life.
