An 88-year-old Bainbridge Island man was killed and four others were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 104 south of Port Townsend Wednesday afternoon.

The Washington State Patrol said Robert Frank Dawson was killed when the 2000 Dodge Dakota truck that he was riding in was hit by a 2004 Honda Pilot that crossed the center line of the highway.

The Suquamish woman was taken to the hospital in Bremerton, and the passenger was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The driver of the Honda, identified as Charles Ellis Russell, 73, of Nordland, was also injured and taken by a medivac flight to Harborview Medical Center.

The accident happened at 2:26 p.m. about 10 miles south of Port Townsend. The State Patrol said the driver of the Honda crossed into the eastbound lane of the highway, lost control, and struck the pickup.
