Luke Hamner, Bainbridge Island Police Chief Matthew Hamner, Parking Enforcement Officer Ken Lundgren and Officer Erik Peffer helped load a truck full of Thanksgiving food for Helpline House this week.

Peffer worked as the main organizer in parterning up with Helpline House for its annual Stuff the Turkey food drive.

“It’s not all about car chases and ticket writing and arresting bad guys,” Peffer said. “It’s a lot of community outreach too. This is the part at the end of the day that you feel good for.”
