Bainbridge blotter | Thief kept going and going and going

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

MONDAY, NOV. 4

12:45 p.m. A 67-year-old Bainbridge Island woman said somebody had entered her garage and stole a car battery belonging to her 36-year-old son.

The woman said the thief most likely came in through the unlocked garage door and stole the 12-volt battery.

She said she’d been sitting in the kitchen area inside her house on Point White Drive and heard the garage door being opened. She thought it was maybe one of her sons, but then realized it was not. She saw only the darkened outline of a person she believed to be male, who then exited and fled in an unknown direction.

There are no suspects.

A report was filed.
