FRIDAY, MARCH 17

4:43 a.m. A 55-year-old Kingston man was driving south on Highway 305 in a 1993 Ford Escort when he hit a deer that was crossing the highway just north of High School Road.

The driver lost control of his car, hit a street sign and went into the ditch.

8:26 p.m. A 43-year-old island woman called police after a dispute with her 49-year-old live-in, ex-boyfriend.

Police were told the argument did not get physical.

The woman decided to stay with a neighbor for the night.
