Monday, Sept. 2

12:47 a.m. A couple paid for a three-night stay at Fay Bainbridge Park. On the second evening, they left their campsite still set up and spent the night in Seattle. The couple returned two days later to find all of their camp items were not there. The park caretaker was contacted and it was found that no employees had removed the gear.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

1:14 p.m. Safeway staff reported a customer eating food and leaving without paying. Store staff attempted to contact him as he was leaving the store, but he took off running.

The manager told officers this has happened several times with the same person.

Officers tracked which direction he ran and found him running down a foot path between a nearby apartment complex. Police waited at the other side of the foot path and handcuffed him.

The man told officers he ate Chinese food and drank a Monster energy drink. He thought he was $4 short so left without paying. He apologized.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

5:33 p.m. Officers were called to a home on Venice Loop NE on a report of burglary. The homeowner told officers he had come home for lunch and found everything in order. He later locked the doors, but left a couple windows open before heading back to work.

When he arrived home that evening, he found the screen to one of the windows was removed and the blinds disturbed. After searching his home, he discovered an iMac, three camera bodies, two camera lenses and a Mac laptop were missing. A neighbor told the homeowner that he did not see any suspects but recalled a red truck with loud muffler in the area around the time the burglary may have occurred.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

5:44 p.m. A teenage boy was reported yelling obscenities and throwing rocks at tourists visiting Point White Dock.

The tour bus driver told officers the tourists were on the dock when he heard a young man yelling gibberish and turned to see him throwing rocks in the direction of the tourists.

The driver could not understand what the teenager was saying, but curse words were being used a lot and at one point he heard something about someone throwing the driver into the water. The driver thought the teenager had a lot of anger and witnessed him going into the portable restroom still yelling then come out and throw something.

A nearby fisherman approached the SUV where the teenager retreated. A heated verbal exchange ensued before the driver of the SUV drove off and yelled more obscenities out the window.
