Monday, Aug. 19

11:47 p.m. An officer on patrol stopped after seeing two vehicles in an empty parking lot at the Grange on North Madison Avenue. One vehicle had a recently smashed windshield.

After running the plate, the officer also noted that the registered owner was reinstated as a driver and an interlock device was required. The vehicle was parked where AA meetings are held, but there was no one there and there was no meeting.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

4:05 p.m. Residents were concerned about a suspicious vehicle seen moving slowly near their Capstan Drive neighborhood at 4 a.m. The residents said the vehicle set dogs barking and that the same thing happened two nights before.

One resident asked officers to patrol the area in the early morning hours for a late ’80s or early ’90s Toyota Corolla that is rusty, dark or black in color with a noisy muffler.

Thursday, Aug. 22

3:53 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a suspected burglary at a home on Capstan Drive NE. According to the homeowner, her 12-year-old daughter saw a white male, approximately 5-foot-4 and 14 years old, standing inside the garage of the residence.

The daughter told officers the teen looked at her and then took off at a fast walk. The daughter did not recognize him.

Nothing was found missing from the garage.
