Wednesday, June 10

1:30 p.m. A 67-year-old Bainbridge man in a 2000 Mercedes-Benz ML320  hit a 1999 Honda Odyssey in the parking lot of a diner on Madison Avenue.

A witness from Federal Way said he watched the man back out of his parking spot and hit a vehicle on the south side of the lot. The driver then looked out his front passenger window, then drove away.

Police went to the man’s home and found fresh damage to the right rear corner of the Mercedes.

The man said he had been at the diner but didn’t know he had hit the other vehicle when he left.

Sunday, June 7

2:27 p.m. A 63-year-old Bainbridge man was leaving the lot of the Ace Hardware when he realized he had forgotten something and began to back up his 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup.

Behind him was a 65-year-old woman from Wilmington, Delaware in a 2000 BMW. She began honking her horn, but the truck driver didn’t stop and struck her vehicle.

The trailer hitch on the truck hit the hood, and dented it and tore the metal.
