SUNDAY, JULY 10

2:15 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Blakely Heights to look for a deer that was injured. It was found and put down.

4:25 p.m. A 67-year-old Bainbridge Island man reported a generator had been stolen from his garage. He had been out of town, but had work done to his house in the last month.

He did not suspect the workers, but thought that maybe while his house was being worked on someone had come by and, seeing the garage open, came and took it. He said it had most likely been missing for two or three weeks. A report was made.

The generator was valued at about $700.

6:44 p.m. Police responded to a physical altercation between two men at a bar on High School Road.

A 59-year-old from Bremerton and a 62-year-old from Bainbridge Island had been talking politics, “specifically foreign policy concerning Israel.”

The Bremerton man became aggressive and antagonistic. The Bainbridge man invited him outside to settle their dispute physically. They began to fight, though it was broken up quickly by others present.

Both men were mildly injured, including light swelling and small cuts. Neither chose to press charges.
