Monday, Dec. 10

9:41 p.m. A Jeep was involved in a collision on South Beach Drive and the driver fled the scene. Police discovered that the Jeep was stolen where it was parked near Fort Ward and its owner was away from the island. The owner believed he locked the vehicle and told officers that there might have been a spare key in the vehicle.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

2:19 p.m. After their cell phones were suddenly shut off, an island couple contacted their provider and discovered that an unknown person had used their personal information to upgrade the account to iPhones in order to receive a discounted iPhone promotion. The identity thief made off with new iPhones from the scam.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

3:57 a.m. A man called 911 five hours after he crashed his bicycle. His injuries had become too painful to ignore. While riding his bike to Safeway on High School Road, the man rode off a 6-foot embankment and crashed. He injured his wrist and scraped his head.

9:03 a.m. Medication was stolen from a mailbox after being delivered on Hemlock Avenue.
