Saturday, June 22
12:46 a.m. Police pulled over a driver on Sportsman Club Road after she swerved in and out of her lane. The driver failed roadside sobriety tests and registered .19 on a portable breath test. The driver was arrested. Later breath tests registered .193 and .184 blood alcohol levels.
2:43 a.m. A north island resident called police after a young intoxicated man walked into her unlocked home and scared her and her daughter. The man then walked away.
Police patrolled the area and found a young man walking on the road. He was intoxicated, but did not match the description of the first young man.
Soon, another officer discovered a young man sleeping in an unlocked van that wasn’t his. Police gave the man a ride home.
The next day, the young man called the officer and said he wanted to apologize to the homeowner and the owner of the van. The officer set up a meeting for the apology.
