Bainbridge blotter | Locks of mystery

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 17

5:49 p.m. A 49-year-old Bainbridge Island woman called police to report an unknown person had locked the doors to her house.

After having gone to work that morning, the woman said, her landlord called to tell her that the house was unlocked. She said she did run back inside before leaving and may have left it unlocked herself. The landlord reported all seemed to be in order, and the woman agreed to return when she could to lock the house.

Upon returning, she found the doors had been locked already. Nothing was missing.

The woman said she does have a current protection order against a previous resident, and assumes it was him who locked the doors.
