Saturday, Jan. 4

1:12 p.m. Items were stolen from an Agate Pass Road residence. The resident told police he had been staying at his girlfriend’s house for most of December.

When he returned to his house on Jan. 4 to pick up a few things he noticed his Fender guitar and a pedal were missing from inside the residence and an amplifier was also taken from the garage. The garage does not have a door and items can be easily removed.

The resident also told officers the rear door was not locked when he had arrived. No forced entry was observed.

No suspects have been identified.

2:50 p.m. A jogger on Agate Pass Road was nearly hit by a reckless driver.

The jogger told police that since most drivers give a wide berth for joggers and walkers in the neighborhood, this vehicle drew her attention. She later stopped at a stop sign at Agate Pass Road and North Street. When she looked up she noticed the vehicle had stopped at a bank of mailboxes. The passenger door had been open, before it was abruptly shut and the car took off.

The car was a burgundy or brown SUV similar to a Honda CRV.
