Bainbridge blotter | In through the back door

TUESDAY, APRIL 11

12:50 p.m. A residential burglary was reported on Eakin Drive NW.

A 63-year-old Bainbridge man said numerous old cell phones were discovered missing out of a closet drawer, as well as chargers and cables. The gear was valued at more than $2,600.

The resident said someone had entered the home within the past two days and had gone through a closet in the master bedroom.

There was no indication of forced entry, and the man said the back door had been left unlocked.

MONDAY, APRIL 10

11:02 a.m. A 51-year-old Bainbridge man said someone used his Kitsap Credit Union debit card number to send $1,049 via Western Union.

2:27 p.m. A 50-year-old Bremerton woman was driving a 2011 Chevy cargo van on Crystal Springs Drive NE when she tried to pass a 2004 semi-mixer dump truck that was parked in the roadway while the truck operator was dumping concrete.

The van’s right side hit the front bumper of the dump truck, damaging the van.

The woman was cited for inattentive driving.
