Sunday, May 5

1:30 p.m. A resident on Crystal Springs Drive reported that someone pried open his locked gas cap and siphoned gasoline. The hose used for the theft was left behind.

1:49 p.m. A cyclist riding on El Cimo Lane crashed after riding over a speed bump. The cyclist was transported to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton for medical care.

Monday, May 6

7:56 a.m. An auto shop on Ferncliff Avenue reported that someone stole gas from cars parked in its lot. Dried gasoline puddles were found below gas caps that were left dangling. A hose used to syphon the gas was also found running into a gas tank on one of the cars.

12:54 p.m. Neighbors near Battle Point Park requested more patrols at the park. They said juveniles were driving on the paths at the park, and said there was other suspicious activity.

4:25 p.m. An owner of a local ice cream shop told police that he had been contacted by a Bremerton police detective about a former employee. The employee was recently arrested and found with pictures on her cell phone of fraudulent checks from his business. The checks were never processed so the owner was not out any money.

5:36 p.m. A car parked at a child care center on High School Road was entered and $300 was stolen from inside. The car’s owner left the windows down because of the hot weather after parking the car at 8:35 a.m. The theft was discovered when the owner returned at 5:10 p.m. Money from the glove box — $200 in $5 bills and a $100 bill — was taken.
