Thursday, Feb. 26
5:55 p.m. A 54-year-old Bainbridge Island man reported the theft of a bicycle computer.
He said he left his bike parked at the Kitsap Transit bike barn at the ferry terminal at 8 a.m.
Feb. 26, then came back to discover his bike’s computer had been stolen.
The bike computer was about the size of a matchbook and was mounted to the front handlebars of the bike. It was valued at $40.
A worker at the bike barn said a homeless man had been hanging around the bike barn and might have taken the computer.
Friday, Feb. 20
5:36 a.m. A 48-year-old woman was driving north on Mandus Olson in a 2000 Pontiac in a heavy patch of fog when she came to a bend in the road and drove through a fence at the Grand Forest.
Her vehicle became high-centered on the fence and it needed to be towed free.
The woman was not hurt in the accident.
