TUESDAY, AUG. 16

12 p.m. A 36-year-old Lacey man driving a 2015 Chevy Traverse on Madison Avenue attempted to back up near the intersection of Parfitt Way and collided with a 2007 Saab, driven by a 62-year-old woman. He was cited for inattentive driving.

MONDAY, AUG. 8

7:15 a.m. Police responded to a possible burglary at Commodore Options School.

Someone had broken a window in the door to the boiler room, and it was then left open. Upon inspection, school officials said nothing else was damaged and nothing was missing. The estimated cost of repair to the door is $200.

11:38 a.m. Police were called to Virginia Mason Medical Center, where a suicidal 20-year-old Bainbridge Island woman had arrived after having attempted to overdose on medication. The woman said she had taken “a lot” of Benadryl and an unknown number of anti-anxiety pills.

The friend who brought the woman to Virginia Mason said she did not get along with her parents and had said she felt like “an inconvenience.”

The woman was taken to Harrison Medical Center.
