Wednesday, April 1

3:03 p.m. A 44-year-old Bainbridge woman complained of identity theft.

The woman and her husband had completed a joint tax return online, but they later got an email that said their tax return had been rejected because someone had already used her Social Security number to file a return.

3:08 p.m. A 73-year-old Poulsbo in a 2003 Ford Escape driving north on Highway 305 slowed for traffic and was struck from behind by a 19-year-old Port Ludlow woman in a 2012 Nissan.

A passenger in the Ford Escape, a 64-year-old Poulsbo woman, complained of neck pain and said she might see a chiropractor. Medics tended to her and she was released.

The Port Ludlow woman was cited for following too closely.

4:53 p.m. A 20-year-old Poulsbo man in a 2003 Ford pickup was driving north on Miller Road and did not notice the driver in front of him had slowed down for a stopped transit bus.

The Poulsbo man, who later said he was was adjusting the volume of his car’s audio system, rear-ended the vehicle in front of him, a 2012 Dodge Ram driven by a 56-year-old Suquamish man.

Both vehicles were damaged and the Poulsbo man was cited with inattentive driving.
