9:38 a.m. A 28-year-old Bainbridge Island woman called police to report a possible violation of a protection order she had obtained against her ex-husband.

The woman said a friend of her ex had contacted her via social media to say how beautiful her children were and that “she knew what kind of person” the woman was.

The woman told police she’d had previous problems with her ex harassing her, and was very upset. Police informed her, though, that unless it could be proven that her ex instructed his friend to contact her, it was not strictly a violation of the protection order.
