A two-car accident on Highway 305 just before the Agate Pass Bridge brought traffic on the North End to a near standstill just after 8 a.m. Monday morning.

The accident happened near Reitan Road, and involved an SUV and a sedan.

Details were scarce. A Bainbridge Island fire engine, two aid cars and Bainbridge police were at the scene just after 8:30 a.m. Nov. 10.

The highway was closed to a single lane, with traffic alternating between north and south directions.
