Forty more volunteers are needed by Monday or else the Bainbridge Island parade on July 4 may have to be reduced, and the beer and wine garden cut entirely.
That’s what BI Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Stefan Goldby said in an email June 24.
Sixty people have already volunteered for two- to four-hour shifts. Help is needed working parade barricades; assisting with composting, recycling and trash; and maintaining free water stations.
