Zucchini races return to Bainbridge Island Farmers Market

It’s a competition where every racer is top-seeded

The always anticipated annual zucchini races will return to the Bainbridge Island Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Open to public, business and group entries, this farm-to-finish line battle sees contestants modify and customize zucchinis of all sizes and launch them down a small race track in search of glory.

“Vehicle” check-in begins at 11 a.m. The races will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m.

The Bainbridge Island Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, and is held in Town Square, outside city hall.

Hosting duties will again be performed by the infamous “Dr. Vvrroooom.”
