Weekend weather report: Breaking up is hard to do | The Bainbridge Blab

Those cloudy skies will soon fade from view.

But breaking up is hard to do.

Bainbridge Island will take its place in the sun this weekend, but unfortunately, the great glowing orb won’t make it’s big breakthrough until Sunday.

That’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Friday’s rain is expected to continue through the night into Saturday.

More rain is likely before 11 a.m. Saturday, then showers are likely after, as well. It will stay cloudy, with the high temperature topping out near 48 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent, and up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible.

The chance for showers overnight drops to 50-50, and the low will drop to about 34.

Come Sunday, it will be a different story.

Mostly sunny weather is in the forecast, with a high near 50.

It will be cloudy overnight, with a low around 35.

And dare we dream?

Looks like Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 54.

Enjoy it. Rain is expected to return for the rest of the week.
