The fourth annual Bainbridge Island Trashion Show will again be held Sunday, April 14 at IslandWood.
There will be two shows this year: a non-juried preview show from 2 to 3 p.m. and the juried show from 4 to 6 p.m.
Tickets are $15 per person; children 12-years-old and younger get in free.
The event, presented by Bainbridge Island Zero Waste, is a runway fashion show showcasing chic, theatrical and wearable garments made using recycled materials and repurposed clothes. Its mission is to spread awareness about consumption, recycling, and waste reduction with the ultimate goal of reducing trash headed for the landfills.
Designers and artists will not only be presenting their “upcycle” fashions in the Couture and Ready-To-Wear categories as in past years, but also in a new Business Challenge category where artists are paired with a local business and use only that store’s discards to create an outfit.
Businesses that are currently involved as of press time are Bon Bon, The Good Egg, Town & Country Market and The Traveler.
