Tickets on sale for One Act Festival

The Northwest Actors Lab and Bainbridge Performing Arts join forces this weekend to present the fifth Annual One Act Festival at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16-18.

The Northwest Actors Lab and Bainbridge Performing Arts join forces this weekend to present the fifth Annual One Act Festival at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16-18.

The festival showcases the very best talent Bainbridge has to offer in a selection of short comedies by renowned playwrights, along with several pieces written by our own talented scribes.

This year’s lineup includes “The Adventures Of…” by Kathleen Warnock; “The Mercury and the Magic” by Rolin Jones, directed by Michelle Allen; “Consolidated Worldwide” by Jim Anderson, directed by Jim Anderson; “That Word” by Mark Harvey Levine; “Ties that Bind” by Eric Coble; “Arabian Nights” by David Ives, directed by Tim Davidson; “You Don’t Have to be Jewish” from the comedy album by Bob Booker and George Foster; “Workout” by Wendy Wasserstein; “A View from the Porch” by Warren Read, directed by Renee Longstreet; “The Angle of Death” by Michelle Allen, and “Actor’s Nightmare” by Chris Durang, directed by Dinah Manoff.

Featuring 30 actors in a variety of roles and 11 plays, the festival showcases the talents of Michelle Allen, Jim Anderson, Lori Anderson, Victoria Brown, Christie Capps, Karla Cole, David Cowan, Robert Craighead, Brian Danzig, Barbara Deering, Ted Dowling, Ian Eisenhood, Liz Ellis, J.C. Figueroa, Sam McJunkin, Arthur Mortell, Dashiell Mortell, Linda Owens, Jennifer Pippin-Montanez, Renee Longstreet, Warren Read, Marybeth Redmond, Sara Scribner, Shannon Sheehan, Jacob Spinak, Robert Tull, Ruth Urbach, Sue Ellen Van Duyne, Tyler Weaver and Nathan Whitehouse.

A special Pay-What-You-Can Preview is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at BPA.

Tickets are $20 for adults, and $15 for seniors, students, youth, military and teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206-842-8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Av. North. BPA box office hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance.
