Seabold Second Saturday will feature Thistle, with tunes, stories and Songs from Ireland, Scotland and North America, performing on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Seabold Community Hall.
Tap your toes to some of the finest live music around. Open-mic performances begins at 7:30 p.m. (sign-ups from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.), followed by featured act.
Thistle is a new Northwest Celtic band and includes Mike Saunders, a veteran performer of the Northwest Folk scene on guitar, fiddle, bouzouki and vocals. Cameron Stahl comes from the Celtic scene in Minneapolis/St. Paul, and provides dazzling flute, tinwhistle and pipes, as well as vocals. Julie Bennett, a veteran rock drummer, has been developing her Celtic percussion skills for several years in Olympia.
Admission is play or pay $5, children admitted free. Coffee, tea, bottled water and cookies will be for sale.
