Island Center Hall hosts its annual Sock Hop and ice cream social on Saturday, July 12. Singles and couples, adults and teens are can enjoy an evening of old-fashioned fun and frolic with a night of swing, oldies and goldies. Dancers are welcome to dress for the ‘50s era.

A swing workshop mixer will be held from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m.; the dance to DJ music is 8:15 to 10 p.m. Requests and your own tunes are welcome. Bring your favorite ice cream and/or toppings to share.

Admission is $10 at the door.
