Scary-but-true stories needed

Field's End hosts Story Slam at Treehouse Café on Monday, Oct. 26.

There was a jingling at the door, quiet but definite. I closed my eyes and counted to three, told myself to breathe deeply, think. Where could I hide?

Field’s End will celebrate the return of its biannual “Story Slam” 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 at the Treehouse Café. This month’s theme is “Mysterious & Spooky.” Come with your true-life tale — no notes or props — and prepare to unsettle the audience in five minutes or less. The top three raconteurs will receive prizes. Email info@fieldsend.org to sign up.

Spectators — 21 and over only — are encouraged to arrive early to snag seats. There is a $7 suggested donation, which helps support Field’s End Young Writers Program.
