The Royal Ballet season is making a stop on Bainbridge Island.

Bainbridge Cinemas in the Pavilion will host two more special one-night theatre events this season, featuring performances by The Royal Ballet, as well as several more special event screenings.

Witness the timeless story of good and evil in “Swan Lake” debuting on Thursday, Feb. 20, as well as the enchanted journey of “The Sleeping Beauty” on Thursday, March 20. These not-to-be-missed ballet events on the big screen will include access to world famous dancers, a look behind-the-scenes and exclusive never-before-seen interviews.

Also coming to the island cinema is the next installment of the “Met Opera: Live in HD” series.

“Rusalka” will premiere Saturday, Feb. 8. The great Renée Fleming, the opera star who will be singing the national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl, returns to one of her signature roles, singing the enchanting “Song to the Moon” in Dvorák’s soulful fairy-tale opera.

Tenor Piotr Beczala co-stars as the Prince, Dolora Zajick is Ježibaba, and dynamic young maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin is on the podium.

Coming from Great Britain on Thursday, Feb. 27, NCM Fathom Events, BY Experience and the National Theatre Live invite you to experience the National Theatre of Great Britain’s sensational original stage production of “War Horse,” coming to Bainbridge Cinemas directly from London’s West End.

Since its first performance at the National Theatre in 2007, the original stage production of “War Horse” has become an international smash hit, capturing the imagination of four million people around the world.

This continuing series of special events will also feature a special two-night-only performance in March of world-renowned singer, songwriter and performer Elton John’s “The Million Dollar Piano” concert from The Coliseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Captured in late 2012, the concert continues to have sell-out success during its Vegas run and is currently being performed to standing ovations during John’s residency at Caesar’s Palace. It includes all of John’s greatest hits from throughout his career including “Rocket Man” and “Tiny Dancer.”

Ticket prices vary and are available in person at the Bainbridge Cinemas box office (403 Madison Ave. North) and also online via www.farawayentertainment.com.
