Space Craft will host a doubleheader concert at Rolling Bay Hall on Saturday, Nov. 19 featuring solo sets from Kris Orlowski and Silver Torches (Erik Walters).
Orlowski has been busy since the release of his debut album, “Believer” (2014), with multiple national tours (Jamestown Revival, Ivan & Alyosha) and features on primetime television (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Tomorrow People,” “Hart of Dixie”).
On his new record, “Often in the Pause,” Orlowski continues to explore the themes of authenticity, loss and the search for connection. His meditative, melodic dream pop, shaded with flecks of alt-country and soft rock, pushes past the earnest Pacific Northwest indie folk to something distinctly American and timeless.
Silver Torches is the solo project of Seattle-based songwriter Erik Walters. Walters fronted Pacific Northwest post-rock outfit, The Globes, has toured with members of Telekinesis!, and is an active touring member of Perfume Genius.
He released a new album, “Heatherfield,” on Jan. 1, which made waves in Seattle and beyond, receiving critical acclaim from numerous regional and national tastemakers, including KEXP’s “Song of the Day” and “Music that Matters” podcasts.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. They can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2626987. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the show begins at 8 p.m.
