Novelist speaks at BIMA at special event Tuesday

Eagle Harbor Books presents a special ticketed event at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 when Annie Barrows, co-author of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, presents her new novel, “The Truth According to Us,” in which she once again evokes the charm and eccentricity of a small town filled with extraordinary characters.

Barrows is the co-author of Barrows, co-author of “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society.”

Her new novel takes place in the summer of 1938, and the story involves a young girl, her beloved aunt and the alluring visitor who changes the course of their destiny forever.

Bainbridge Island best-selling author Carol Cassella will join Barrows on stage in a conversation about the book, writing and the research behind this Depression-era novel.
