Michael Warren’s students have sung in major opera houses from Covent Garden to La Scala, performed leading roles on Broadway and toured jazz venues across the world.

For one day only — Monday, May 2 — the New York-based vocal coach will be on Bainbridge Island to give an intensive workshop for a wide range of students, from established professionals to those looking to reconstruct their voices.

The workshop begins at 9:45 a.m. and will include warm-ups, group vocalizing, lunch, a Q-and-A session and 30 minutes of one-on-one instruction in front of the group. The opportunity to both sing and to observe Warren working with others allows all participants to share their vocal strengths and benefit from each other’s progress. The seminar costs $165 and will be held at Power’s studio near Hyla Middle School.

Participants also have the option to audit the class for $65. Auditors will not get their own 30-minute session with Warren, but will still benefit from Warren’s unique training style as they observe others’ lessons and practice techniques.
