New BAC show features Nancy Reithaar and Helga Winter, BARN

Bainbridge Arts & Crafts presents new works from Nancy Reithaar and Helga Winter in November.

Also at the gallery: BARN@BAC, a prints and glass show.

A lifelong explorer of Puget Sound and the Washington coast, Reithaar, a Seattle printmaker, depicts shorebirds, forest creatures and other native wildlife in vivid, richly textured mixed media prints.

Winter, a Port Townsend wood turner, favors unseasoned Pacific Madrone, using the instability of the wood to her advantage as she coaxes out hidden beauty.

BAC also offers its second annual collaboration with BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network), and this year, presents stellar work from BARN’s Glass and Printmaking Studios.

The exhibitions open during First Friday, with an artists’ reception at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3. The shows run through Nov. 26.

Bainbridge Arts & Crafts is at 151 Winslow Way East.
