Musicians sought for island garden tour

Musicians are being sought to perform at the 29th annual Bainbridge In Bloom garden tour on June 3 and 4.

The event, presented by Arts & Humanities Bainbridge, will feature live music throughout as visitors explore five beautiful private gardens around Bainbridge.

Performers, bands and repertoire should be appropriate for a garden setting: acoustic, folk and bluegrass, jazz, classical and chamber, choral, reggae, calypso, etc.

Performers typically play a single one- or two-hour set during the tour, depending on the number of acts selected. The tour runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Musicians will perform outdoors in garden settings. Chairs and protective covering from the sun (or rain) will be provided and electricity, if needed. All performers will receive free admission to Bainbridge In Bloom and an honorarium for playing.

Email a statement of interest, bio, contact information and links to online music samples or videos (if available) to bloom@ahbainbridge.org. Or mail applications with sample CDs to Arts & Humanities Bainbridge, 221 Winslow Way West, Suite 201, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.
