Movies That Matter to screen coal industry documentary

Movies That Matter will screen the 2017 film “From the Ashes” as its next offering in the series.

Climate change and food are the big topics to be addressed in the 2020 Movies That Matter series. The public is invited to come view a special screening of the documentary, which focuses on Americans living in communities across the country wrestling with the legacy of the coal industry and what its future should be, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

Admission is free.

After the film there will be a community discussion with Phil Rockefeller, former state senator, and Ben Avery of the Sierra Club.
