Island Center Hall hosts annual sock hop and ice cream social

Island Center Hall will host a sock hop and ice cream social at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13.

The dance will feature a versatile DJ mix of oldies and goldies. The dance is for singles and couples, adults and teens. Admission is $10 at the door.

There will be prizes for best costume as well as a dance contest. Dancers are asked to bring ice cream, condiments and non-alcohol beverages to share.

The night kicks off with a swing workshop mixer from 7:15 to 8 p.m. (free with paid admission to the dance.)

Island Center Hall is at 8395 Fletcher Bay Road.
