The Haunted Hayride is returning to Battle Point Park next week.

Enjoy some spooky fun with the whole family on Monday, Oct. 23 through Wednesday, Oct. 25 with the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District; ride through the “haunted” pumpkin-lined trails of the park where ghosts, zombies, mummies and even historic figures will emerge from the shadows.

The festivities also include crafts and games, and warm up after the ride with cider and cookies.

Organizers say the event is fun and appropriate for all ages.

Hay rides will leave every 10 minutes starting at 6, with the last ride leaving at 8:50 p.m.

Pre-registration is required, register online at www.biparks.org or call the park district office at 206-842-2306. The cost is $7/person ages 3 and up (includes tax), while ages 2 and under ride for free.

Enter the park from the west side, off of Battle Point Drive.

Islanders who want to join the fun as a volunteer (pumpkin carving, acting or joining the crew) can contact Lori Quick-Mejia at lorim@biparks.org or 206-842-2306, ext. 129.
